Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Julie Jeong brings years of expertise to our dental office so that our patients can receive the best dental treatment. For her, the best part of being a dentist in Lancaster is helping patients regain a healthier and more comfortable bite, as relieving tooth pain is one of the most fulfilling things for her. She also enjoys the artistic side of dentistry and being able to see how happy others become when they achieve their dream smiles. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Jeong has always aspired to be a healthcare provider. During college, she explored various health professional careers and found that dentistry suited her best, as it combined medical care with artistic, hands-on work. She even grew up knowing an excellent dentist who became her role model and inspired her to pursue a career in dentistry. Additionally, she went on a dental mission trip to Haiti before attending dental school, which helped confirm that this profession was truly meant for her. Today, she strives to make patients feel comfortable while building their trust so that they can come to her for help whenever they need dental care.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Jeong attended Nova Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine to receive her dental doctorate. Over the years, she’s obtained various certifications as well, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and nitrous oxide, and she even became a certified Invisalign provider. She’s also undergone numerous hours of continuing education every year in multiple topics, such as pediatric dentistry, third molar extraction, minimally invasive dentistry, DEA compliance, and first dental home. Dr. Jeong is also a proud and passionate member of professional organizations like the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

At home, Dr. Jeong loves spending time with her husband, Dr. Sam Je, and their son, Zion, who was born in 2023. Being new parents is an incredible joy for them, and she feels extremely blessed. Aside from motherhood and dentistry, she also likes practicing yoga, cooking, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and spending Sunday mornings at church. One interesting fact is that she’s very passionate about dental mission trips, as she’s gone to Haiti, Jamaica, and Nicaragua, and plans on going on another one in the near future.
